Creative Fridays

Children are entitled to a broad and balanced curriculum including a range of humanities and creative subjects. Learning is providing children with opportunities to find out and explore collaboratively and independently. We believe that children learn best when they have a memorable experience and when they have access to practical materials. Creative Fridays strive to provide these opportunities for  the children at St Wulstan's.

At St Wulstan's we define creativity as learning which facilitates problem solving, risk taking, using your imagination to think outside of the box, unique ideas and most importantly having fun working together.

Creative Fridays at St Wulstan's is a day where we move away from the usual timetable to teach a curriculum based day linked to our class foundation subject learning. The activities are all skills based covering a range of subjects including; History, Geography, Science, Computing, Music, Art and Design Technology. The children have enjoyed a range of fun creative activities for example; baking gingerbread men, making models of Roman helmets and shields, creating videos using iPads, building Anderson shelters and many more.

Keep checking our school Facebook page for regular updates about the opportunities that have been planned to make your child's learning as exciting as possible!
