School opens for children on Wednesday 7th September 2016- Welcome Back to School
Welcome to St Wulstan’s Catholic Primary School.
Our School Ethos and Values
Welcome to St Wulstan's Catholic Primary School.
With the example of Jesus at the centre of our community, we aim to foster a shared responsibility between home, school and parish, for the full development of each child in a secure and happy atmosphere and to nurture each child's relationship with God through prayer and liturgy. Christian friendship, where we grow in love and respect for one another, is at the heart of our school.
We are proud of our school and our team work tirelessly to provide the best possible education for the children in our care. At St Wulstan's we offer a broad and balanced curriculum with many outreach opportunities. We work closely with the schools in our cluster to make sure that we are able to share good practice and that we are constantly improving our provision. This includes enrichment days at the feeder schools.
The school has undergone many changes as we continue to improve the outcomes for our children under the direction of our new leadership team. Our forward thinking team have significantly improved the quality of teaching and learning in maths, reading and writing over the last two years, resulting in an increase in pupil attainment and progress at KS2. We continue to build on our successes through collaboration with the NAHT Aspire Programme. Our learning environment, including improvements to the playground are our next steps ,along with developing digital learners through ICT.
Our school has excellent music and sporting traditions. We participate in many local competitions and musical events. In addition, we offer a range of high quality after school enrichment clubs to further extend our school day. After school clubs run alongside our Care Club provision.
You are welcome to contact the school should you wish to make an appointment to come and visit.
