St Wulstan's has a strong music tradition
and offers a variety of musical opportunities throughout the year.
Lessons are planned to encourage enjoyment of a wide range of music, develop specific music skills and enhance learning in other curriculum areas. Year 3 and Year 4 are taught to play the recorder during weekly music lessons, whilst Year 5 and Year 6 have opportunities to develop their skills using keyboards.
Children develop their performing, listening, composing and appraising skills.
A team of peripatetic teachers teach instrumental lessons including: Brass, Violin, Cello, Guitar, Bassoon, Flute and Clarinet.
Musicians are invited to perform such as Staffordshire Performing Arts and Key Strings.
We like to share our enjoyment of music with the wider community.
We take part in joint ventures with local primary and senior schools including St John Fisher College and Wolstanton High School. We go carol singing and raise money for charity.
We perform in large venues such as the Victoria Hall and Manchester Arena.
After school music clubs include: CHOIR, ORCHESTRA and RECORDERS
Current after school clubs:
