Ofsted Section 8 Inspection Report - February 2025
We are delighted to share the outcome of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 4th and 5th February 2025. This was a Section 8 inspection, meaning that while previous judgements remained unchanged, the inspector, was extremely impressed with the high standards at St Wulstan’s Catholic Primary School.
The inspection highlighted many positives about our school, including:

Catholic School Inspection (Section 48) Report - May 2025
We are delighted to share the outcome of our recent Catholic Schools Inspection.
St Wulstan’s has been graded Outstanding in all areas, reflecting the strength of our Catholic life, religious education, and collective worship. The report highlights the dedication of our staff, the strong faith of our children, and the care and support we provide to our families.
As the inspectors noted:
“Staff are totally dedicated to the Catholic community they serve, which leads to a happy and welcoming environment.”
“Pupils greatly value the school’s mission and talk passionately about how they live, love, and share together.”
“The pastoral support for pupils and their families is recognised by parents, who speak highly of St Wulstan’s.”
“Prayer is central to school life and relates to the pupils’ lived experience. This allows pupils to grow in faith.”
“Every opportunity is taken to ensure that each child flourishes, receiving whatever specific help they need.”
