Please read the relevant policy document below for admissions arrangements for each academic year.
Our school has a vibrant Nursery of up to 56 children, offering both part time (15 hours) or fulltime (30 hours) places from the term after they turn 3 years old, which is referred to as 'Rising 3s'. Parents who are not eligible for the full 30 hours of DFE funded care and might only receive 15 hours a week are able to 'top-up' their children's Nursery attendance with child care vouchers or through a payment arrangement. For more information, please contact the school office.
Applications for Nursery are made directly to the school. Please contact the school for an application form.
The Reception class is the first year group in the main school and as such has a different admissions application. As we are a very popular school, please use the Admissions Policy to help. Our current policy for admission to the school can be found below
For parents considering sending your child to our school in the academic years 2023- 2024 or 2024- 2025, please see our Admissions Policies below:
You are very welcome to contact the school to arrange a time when you can visit and discuss the applications process.
All applications for the school go through Staffordshire's Admissions Website, the link for which is below:
Admissions for Reception Class are made through Staffordshire County Council and details are available at this link.
If you wish to secure a place for your child outside of the normal arrangements, you must complete and In-Year Transfer Form which is available from the local authority. Please contact the school to arrange a visit and to collect a Supplementary Information Form, required by the school.
An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. An application should be made to the school by completing the in-year admissions application form which is available here. A hard copy of the application form can be obtained by contacting the school office on 01782 973722 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Completed application forms must be and returned to Mrs J Sutton at St Wulstan's Catholic Primary School, Church Lane, Wolstanton, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire, ST50EF
Where there are places available but more applications than places, the published oversubscription criteria, as set out in the admission arrangements for 2023/2024 will be applied. Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.
If there are no places available, the child will be added to the waiting list and further information relating to this will be included in the letter sent from the school advising you of the outcome of your application. Please see the admission arrangements for more details.
You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing as soon as possible. Applicants must be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of its receipt, but the aim is to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of its receipt.
You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful.
If you have any questions in relation to in-year admissions please contact Mrs J Sutton on 01782 973722. You may also wish to discuss in-year applications with the local authority on 0300 111 8007 or via email: email@example.com
