World Book Day

World Book Day is a day of celebrating the amazing variety of books. We used this opportunity to share our love of books and reading as a school. Each World Book Day, the children engage in different activities based around books. This year some activities included; creating class artwork, writing and designing a dream world and becoming explorers. Through these experiences we unlock the children's imaginations and explore how they can do this for themselves through reading. 

 

This year our children came dressed up as a character who inspires them. It was amazing to see children dressed up as characters from a variety of different books. They loved sharing who they were and discussing their books with their class. Take a look at some of the costumes the children wore:
